Arena Rebuilt 0.9.9d is available for Windows and Linux. This update focuses on quest problems reported by players and makes trees less awkward to walk past.
Quest fixes
- Retrieval jobs now use the proper pickup conversation at the destination contact instead of silently advancing.
- Active quest reminders use the correct text rather than a failure message.
- Living capture and rescue targets now respond to the normal Use control.
- Corrected quest giver titles and artifact quest pickup messages.
Travel and loading
- Fixed some saved arrival and return positions being rejected as blocked.
- World map travel now works from towns as well as cities.
Easier movement around trees
Trees and palms now collide only at a narrow central trunk, capped at about 20 original pixels across. Branches and leaves no longer act as wide barriers, and the collision stays centered as the tree sprite turns toward the camera.
This applies in settlements and throughout the wilderness. Tree artwork, water, and other objects have not been changed by this adjustment.
Both downloads include the same gameplay changes. This remains a beta, so please report any remaining problems with the quest, location, and steps that caused them.
